Ravanna's mission was to mate with an Angel and give birth to Hell's next weapon against Heaven, an Angel/Demon whom Hell would control and the child Ravanna was to give birth to would allow Hell to peer into the powers of an Angel and learn how the Angels gain their power.
Ravanna tried on many occasions to mate with Hariel, but he refused each time, demanding that they be married before mating. Finally, Ravanna saw no other alternative and married him. Santargo rejoiced at Hariel's second marriage and it was not long before Hariel impregnated Ravanna, whom, 9 months later, gave birth to Ryo Death, their Son and the child that was to be the Angel/Demon and weapon of Hell against Heaven.
Ravanna's many attempts to get Ryo into Hell without Hariel noticing all failed, but she did succeed in keeping him AND Ryo from knowing her true identity and intentions. Finally, when Ryo was 4 years old, Ravanna took Ryo away from the open and into a shrouded area where she consulted with Satan to open a portal to Hell to bring the 4 year old Ryo to him. Ryo watched on, asking questions as any little kid would. Ravanna, irritated, slapped Ryo across the face and Ryo ran. Ravanna, in a deepened Rage, ran into the open in her demon form. Ryo had run right into Hariel, who looked onto his wife with shame as he had finally learned of her true identity and intentions. Ravanna demanded Ryo, but Hariel would not let him go. Finally, Ravanna could take no more, and she drew her Thunder Claw Sword and attacked Hariel. As Ravanna charged at Hariel, he threw Ryo out of harm's way and drew his own sword, the Holy Slayer Sword. Hariel was too delayed by throwing Ryo out of the way to draw his sword on time and he was immediately cut down by Ravanna. Hariel dropped his sword out of reach as Ravanna raised the Thunder Claw Sword to kill Hariel once and for all. Hariel looked into Ravanna's eyes with a saddened look of despair, but her cold hearted self cared not about him, only getting Ryo to Hell to please Satan, her Master.
Ravanna swung her sword, but Ryo climbed upon Hariel and applied pressure to his wounds, not letting go. Ravanna kicked Ryo off of Hariel, yet Ryo's diversion was enough for Hariel to grab his sword and slide the blade into Ravanna's black heart. Hariel lurched to his feet as fast as possible and pulled his sword from her chest. Hariel dropped his sword as she dropped hers and Hariel wrapped his arms around Ravanna, holding her tightly, vowing never to stop loving her no matter who or what she was or what she did to him and Ryo. Hariel and Ravanna fell to their knees, and Ravanna shouted promises of her return as the wound in her chest lit up on fire. Hariel was burned and let go of Ravanna, who only took her demonic claws and sliced open Hariel's chest with them. Hariel went flying 10 feet, landing beside Ryo, and Ravanna burned to death.
Ryo knelt by his dying father and clutched his massive hand tightly with his own small ones. Ryo was begging his father to live and reassuring him that he would be O.K., but Hariel knew that it was his time. Hariel called for his friends Ash and John and they soon arrived. Hariel bestowed the swords of Ravanna and himself to them to give to him whenever Ryo returned to claim the island that was his. Ash took the Thunder Claw Sword, and John took the Holy Slayer. Hariel's last words to his son were "One day, Ryo........you will discover who you REALLY are! But until then, do me a favor, don't forget me, and love your mother no matter what she is or what she has done. I am sorry to have left you at such an early age my son, please, take care of yourself". And with that, Hariel's body slumped beside Ryo's as the last of it's power was used to transport Ryo to Japan, where he was found and adopted by a man who's wife had died of the birth of his last child, which died as well.
Later, at Ryo's tender age of 17, the man died on a safari in Africa, which was what he loved to do, and Ryo took up his belongings and headed out. It was then that Ryo met up with a man who was only known as the Ancient. The Ancient gave Ryo an armor which exposed the power of his demon side, as it was the color red, as is the demon, and it commanded the element of fire, as does the demon. It was called the Armor of Wildfire. The Ancient also gave Ryo his mystical tiger companion, White Blaze. With that, the Ancient bestowed upon Ryo 2 katana blades, which he had grown to use well in his life of training and fencing. The Ancient disappeared and Ryo and his tiger companion headed toward the city. {watch the series known as Ronin Warriors to find out what happens here, what picks up in the next paragraph is what happens to Ryo after the last Episode of Ronin Warriors}.
Ryo's enemy, Talpa, had been vanquished, and with that went his realm as well. Ryo's 4 companions that fought at his side all eventually died. Kento got killed in a car accident, Sage was killed in a brawl, Rowen was shot by Gangsters, and Cye drown {odd, as he is the Ronin of Water}. Soon, Ryo's other companions died as well. Ryo had been good friends with girl named Mia, and they began dating after Sage's death. After the death of Talpa, the spirit of Black Blaze left White Blaze, leaving him to die slowly and painfully. Yuli went back to his natural life, as his tiger buddy was dead. Yuli lived on with his parents as Ryo tried to have a relationship with Mia. Things worked out, until one night when they were out and Mia suddenly stumbled. Ryo layed her on the trail that they were on and asked her what was wrong. Mia gasped for air and panted "RYO! MY LUNGS.............I........can't........breath." Ryo could sense evil present, and it was crushing Mia's lungs, whatever it was. Ryo looked around and screamed "SHOW YOURSELF!" No one appeared. Ryo looked down to Mia, who was dying in his arms as his father had. Mia looked into his eyes with her own, a tired look of suffocation in her eyes. Mia gasped "Ryo....I love you......Don't forget me!" With that, Mia's body fidgeted and fell limp in Ryo's arms. Ryo's eyes widened as he remembered his father briefly. Ryo thought to himself "Who was that man?!"
Eventually, Ryo unraveled his true identity, and that his name was in fact Ryo Death, not Ryo Sanada. Ryo stowed away on a ship and traveled to his island as soon as he could.
Once Ryo reached Santargo, he immediately met Ash Sinder, the temporary Bearer of the Thunder Claw Sword and owner of Northern Santargo Isle. Ash gave the sword to Ryo. Ash took Ryo to John Traser, the temporary bearer of the Holy Slayer Sword. John gave the sword to Ryo, and when Ryo laid grasp upon his father's sword, a rush of power flowed through him. The 2 swords drew themselves together as they shattered, the shrapnels left behind becoming particles of energy that formed another whole sword known as Ryo's Holy Goliath. Ryo sheathed the sword. John and Ash told Ryo of Skullkor, ruler of Southern Santargo and the murderer of Mia and Master of the Sun Devil {you know, that one episode where that guy resembling the Grim Reaper attacked the Ronins and always spoke of his master, yet never mentioned who he REALLY was, I thought this would put an interesting twist in Ryo's background}. Ryo, filled with rage because of the death of Mia, bore the sword and went into battle, leading John and Ash's armies of Archangel Warriors against Skullkor's undead and demon forces. Skullkor was eventually overthrown and forced to the abandoned castle city on the unknown Territory of Santargo known as Abandonesia {yeah, I know, not very creative...........shut up and keep reading}.
Skullkor remained hidden for hundreds of years, kept alive as he was an undead. During this time, Ryo became a being known as Infineon, and John taught Ryo nobility and Ash taught him the use of all sorts of weapons. Ryo grew strong to being honorable and chivalrous, and he eventually became a great warrior as well as a mage and cleric, as he studied spell and prayer books as well. Ryo finally attained the status of Avatar, as his father Hariel had been before his unfortunate death. Ryo, having aged hundreds of years, was approached by his father's spirit, who spoke to him of finding a wife who will one day give birth to his rightful heir. Hariel also mentioned to Ryo his long lost Brother Rhys, whom was taken from Hariel by his first wife. Hariel mentioned the Isle of Arginon, Skullkor's origin. Arginon was the twin isle of Santargo, only, it was an extension of Hell rather than Heaven, like Santargo. Hariel left and returned to the Heavens, his rightful place as a soul. Ryo began searching for a bride, but every time he looked at a woman, he was reminded of Mia. It had been hundreds of years since the incident happened, but it was still in the back of Ryo's mind as if it had happened to him yesterday. It weighed on Ryo heavily, and he called off all marriage requests. As Ryo mourned, Skullkor, now full of power and rage, attacked again, this time, he casted an emotions curse upon Ryo known as the AIA Curse. This curse eliminated all of Ryo's emotion, except for Agony, Insanity, and Anger and any other emotions he felt for anyone else before the casting of the AIA would remain as well as Agony, Insanity, and Anger. Ryo and Skullkor battled in rage many times for over 1000 years. Ryo seemed to become twisted on warfare as his battles with Skullkor raged on. Finally, Ryo divided the Holy Goliath and handed Skullkor the Thunder Claw Sword and said "Long ago, Skullkor. These swords were used in a battle between my parents over me in front of my very own eyes. Now they shall clash once again, but not as the Holy Goliath, but against eachother! LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!" Ryo, in a fit of Rage, attacked, wearing Hariel's White Armor of Inferno. The Holy Slayer lit up on fire as the 2 swords clashed again and again. Skullkor's curse drove Ryo into a bloodthirsty savage as Ryo began to rip into him. Skullkor was overwhelmed by Ryo's power, and Ryo's last blow shattered Skullkor's ancient body as he screamed "THAT'S FOR KILLING MY LOVE!"
The Thunder Claw Sword had fallen to the ground and Ryo clapped them together again to make the Holy Goliath once more. Ryo adopted a street rat and thief of a boy from Santargo's capitol, Sandresky, and raised him to be an Assassin to serve the side of good, his name was Eric Lecrade. Ryo lived with his Agony and Insanity and Anger for the next several hundreds of thousands of years, and finally, when he became 700,000 years of age, his isle shows hardly any signs of the battle between Skullkor and Ryo. Ryo ventured out of Santargo and into an entirely different realm known as Yahell.......a world full of Violence, Rape, and Slavery. Ryo liberated almost 1000 slaves, all of which the women had crushes on him, but he felt no emotion for them in return. Ash and John also had helped, as well as Eric. Eventually, Eric was forced to defend himself against John's fiance, Felicia Traser, and he killed her, facing trial and being banished. Eric was forced into slavery afterward. Eric was turned into a vampire, and therefore, unable to return to Santargo. Ryo found out what John had done, and John was soon to be banished as well. About a month later,. Ash had suddenly left him, saying that an Elven Mage woman named Angel awaited him. Ryo was soon to recover from the AIA.
Though the AIA Curse was broken, it's hold over Ryo was still strong indeed. It was not until Ryo met up with an old friend, Bayawolf Angelus, and she admitted that she was in love with him. Ryo accepted her proposal, and they were married. Ryo took pity on John and allows him back into the realm, as was all people are forgiven in the eyes of a Santargoan such as Ryo. Ash soon returned, letting his Elven Magi love come along once in a while. Ryo now slowly relearns his emotion from Baya, who always has a trick or 2 up her sleeve for him to reteach him his emotion. Later, Serra, Bayawolf's daughter came to the island after being reunited with her thought to be dead mother. She was happy to have Ryo as a Step Father now. Soon, Serra met with John, and they were in love as well. In the current state, both couples are happily together and love eachother dearly.
